Bahrain Fort, once the capital of the Dilmun civilization, played a key role as a trading port and was part of the Gulf’s political network. Later, it was used as a Portuguese fort. Since 1954, archaeological excavations have uncovered structures from different periods, including residential, public, commercial, religious, and military buildings. Today, visitors can explore the site and its museum, which showcases artifacts and exhibits that highlight the fort’s rich history and significance in the region’s past.
